Cleaning

Cleaning a large area such as an attic or garage can be draining for a chrono lady. You may want to divide the project into sections.

It will take longer but your body will be appreciative.

Cleaning: Thinking about Spring

As winter winds down, you may want to start thinking about upcoming major cleaning projects for Springtime. Start by cleaning the winter drapes, the windows, and the basement. These areas have been used thru the winter and need special attention.

Also, speak with your family/roommates to establish a schedule so you do not become overwhelmed. Pacing yourself must be considered to keep yourself healthy and happy.

Cleaning

Supermarkets are becoming more aware of the need for natural/organic cleaning products. I have tried a few brands because I suffer from allergies and the traditional cleaning products can be irritating to my breathing and aggravating to my skin. The main problem/issue I have is the cost. When these products first came out years ago I do recall there prices but I notice they can become costly over time.

I will still use a few products but I think I will stick with the old standbys such as baking soda, bleach, and vinegar. I have spoken with family/friends who feel the same way. If you do want to try natural/organic cleaning products, here are a 5 ideas:

1) Compare the products via the internet using trusted resources such as unbiased consumer websites.
2) Check with family and friends for recommendations.
3) Try the smaller/sample sizes before investing in large bottles/containers.
4) Use your best judgement. You may want to use the better natural/organic products on your bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, and kitchen.
5) Store them as directed.

Cleaning

Ladies, it would be nice to skip this section but no matter how you feel cleaning must be done. Sure you can skip the garage/attic if not used for months but you can not ignore the bathroom or kitchen for more than two days. Its a good idea to design a cleaning schedule. For example, cleaning the kitchen daily, the bathroom twice a week, and dusting once a week.

We realize this schedule must consider your work/business schedule, the household size, the ages of any children and your health needs. Some people decide to use a printed calendar while some use a computer program. Remember, a cleaning schedule is not set in stone but it is a good idea to keep a general schedule since our diseases/disorders may be unpredictable.

As I come across any good websites, ezines, or books to help your cleaning routine/schedules, I will post the information under this category.
