Laundering and Clothes Storage

Remember to gentle wash your winter garments/ items before storing. Sweat, oils, and odor tends to attract bugs and your clothes can be damaged before you the summer is over.

Check out the Internet for good cleaning products for your clothes. I will do some basic research and post here if I come across any good products.

Laudering

The first time my parents showed my how to do the laundry I thought it was punishment but I realized that by knowing how to maintain my clothes I can maintain my sanity. Have you ever watched a sitcom and the spouse (yes the husband) was lost without his wife helping him find a black sock, a clear shirt, or a decent sweater? This does happen so as part of the family home training for each generation the child must learn how to do his/her laundry. Here are basic tools for the laundry room:

1) Cabinets-to keep your bleach, detergent, fabric softener, and spot remover.
2) Chair-make sure its comfortable.
3) Dryer-it should be energy efficient.
4) Ironing board.
5) Washer-energy efficient is key.

I know of families with multiple children so they spends hours doing the laundry and require a couch and television but when I reach that point I'll let you know.
